Lajpal Nabi Mere Lyrics in English (Roman)

Lajpaal Nabi mere dardaan di dawa dena,
Jab waqt-e-naza aaye daaman di hawa dena.

Main naat teri parhna, main zikr tera karna,
Us zikr di barkat naal meri qabar wasa dena.

Sarkar di mehfil wich jholiyan wichha baitha,
Laaj rakh laye we Lajpaala, khaali na uthha dena.

Dil ronda ae jaande ne jadon loki Madine nu,
Hun saanu vi ya Aaqa darbaar bula laina.

Panwaan Taiba de kootiyan de pairaan wich bitha dena.

Lajpaal Nabi mere dardaan di dawa dena,
Jab waqt-e-naza aaye daaman di hawa dena.

English Translation

O my gracious Prophet, grant the cure for my pains; and when the moment of death arrives, grant me the shelter of your blessed mantle.

I recite your naat and I remember you; through the blessing of that remembrance, make my grave flourish.

I sit with my hands outstretched in the Master’s gathering; keep my honour, O Gracious One, and do not let me rise empty-handed.

The heart weeps when people set off for Madinah; now call us too to your court, O Master.

This humble one’s only wish is to reach Madinah; seat me even at the feet of the devoted servants of Taiba.
