Ali Ke Sath Hai Zahra Ki Shadi Lyrics in English (Roman)
Ali ke saath hai Zahra ki shaadi,
Sab khush hain khudaai bhi Khuda bhi.
Ladka hai Khuda ke ghar ka, ladki hai Nabi ke ghar ki,
Woh aarzoo-e-sama ka maalik, yeh malika-e-behr-o-bar ki,
Zameen raqsa hai raqsa aasman bhi.
Haidar hain qila-e-eemaan aur qila-e-ismat Zahra,
Us sar pe wafa ka sehra, is sar pe haya ka sehra,
Woh shehzada hai aur yeh shehzadi.
Bola yeh Khuda har jaanib rehmat ki ghata barse gi,
Jo bughz se banjar hogi bas wohi zameen tarse gi,
Utho Jibrael yeh kar do munaadi.
Baraat chali Haidar ki, rehmat ke saaye saaye,
Baraat ke aage aage Quran qaseeden gaaye,
Nabi saare chale ban kar baraati.
Kal inke hansi aangan mein woh asli phool khilenge,
Hansi shajre jinhein denge salaami.
Kaise ho bayaan woh manzar jab khatam hui sab rasmein,
Kaunain ki har shay Gohar kehti thi kha kar qasmein,
Mubarak hai, mubarak hai yeh shaadi.
English Translation
Zahra’s marriage is with Ali; all are joyful – the creation and the Creator alike.
The groom is of the House of God, the bride of the House of the Prophet; he the master of every longing, she the queen of land and sea; the earth is dancing and so are the heavens.
Haidar (Ali) is the fortress of faith, and Zahra the fortress of purity; on one brow the crown of loyalty, on the other the crown of modesty; he a prince and she a princess.
God declared: mercy shall rain down on every side; only the land barren with malice shall remain athirst; arise, O Jibrael, and make this proclamation.
Haidar’s wedding procession set off beneath the shade of mercy; before the procession the Quran sang its praises; and all the Prophets walked as wedding guests.
From Divine Power they shall receive still more gifts; tomorrow, in their blessed courtyard, true flowers will bloom; radiant descendants who will offer their salutations.
How can that scene be described, when all the rites were complete; every thing in both worlds, says Gohar, swore an oath – blessed, blessed is this marriage.
About This Manqabat
Ali Ke Sath Hai Zahra Ki Shadi celebrates the blessed marriage of Hazrat Ali (a.s.) and Bibi Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), one of the most cherished events in early Islamic history. In Madinah, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) gave his beloved daughter Fatima in marriage to Ali, and this kalaam imagines the joy of the heavens and the earth, the Prophets attending as wedding guests, and mercy raining upon creation. The poet signs the manqabat with the pen name Gohar. It is recited with great happiness at gatherings honouring the Ahlul Bayt.
